Ashley has expertise in compliance and quality assurance issues.  Ashley’s previous position within the Quality Assurance Department at CPA Australia saw him train the Quality Reviewers on complying with the Australian Auditing Standards and Professional and Ethical Standards as well as ensuring all 5,500 public practice accountants complied with the mandatory quality control requirements. Ashley consults through WPIAS Training Academy, providing advice on complying with Australian Auditing Standards and Professional and Ethical Standards. Ashley also holds the position of Director of software development company Auditflow Pty Ltd as well as Quality Assurance Manager at Williams Partners Independent Audit Specialists, one of the largest Independent Audit firms in Queensland.

Ashley holds a Bachelor of Education with over thirteen years teaching experience. Ashley currently lectures at Bond University in the areas of Audit and Risk Management and has taught at a number of other universities in the past. In Semester 1 of 2009 Ashley was awarded the Business Student’s Association Teaching Excellence Award for the Most Outstanding Achievement.
Ashley is a regular contributor to the National Institute of Accountants’ bi-monthly magazine ‘National Accountant’. His five part series on the audit of Self Managed Superannuation Funds was one of three nominations for an International writing award to be judged by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) in September this year.
